This is me! In my dining room surrounded by sewing stuff. I am lucky enough to have three gorgeous, nearly grown, children ( twins and a bigger one) four cats and I am married to The long suffering M who puts up with my fibre collection being constantly strewn sound the house.
Although I am originally a Londoner I have lived in Yorkshire for the best part of twenty years. I am lucky enough to live in a house that belonged to my beloved grandmother, Mamie.
I learnt to knit before I started school but didn't get properly into it until I was about 13. Which was about the time I had my first forays into crochet. Sewing was something I learnt in my teens using my mum's horrible, temperamental Singer, I think I spent more time unpicking poor tension than getting any real enjoyment out of it. I only really developed a love for it when I bought my first machine in my 20's. That one ( a brother) and my beloved Janome 9000 I wore out and I now use a Janome Atelier 7.
I love clothes and I spend far too much of my free time either knitting and sewing clothes for me and my family. I love to bake and sporadically blog about my exploits.
